SEATTLE, WA, Cloud connectivity platform, announced today it has raised $5 million in Series A funding from Ignition Venture Partners.
Azuqua, Inc. (www.azuqua.com), the cloud connectivity platform, announced today it has raised $5 million in Series A funding from Ignition Venture Partners. Azuqua enables anyone to quickly and easily create high value business processes that span multiple cloud services. With this funding, the company will accelerate product development and make strategic hires.

Key business processes for sales, marketing, support and other functions are increasingly distributed across an ever-expanding portfolio of externally provided cloud services. Azuqua not only makes it possible to create and execute business processes across multiple cloud services, but also democratizes process development by making implementation and integration accessible to ordinary business users.

'The challenge of creating and streamlining business processes grows with every new cloud service,' said Nikhil Hasija, co-founder and CEO of Azuqua. 'The Azuqua platform lets IT as well as everyday business users integrate multiple cloud services to implement valuable business processes without the need to write any code.'

With an intuitive, web-based visual designer, users can combine a library of powerful functions with over 40 mainstream cloud services to quickly construct sophisticated business processes that include conditional logic, sentiment analysis and text manipulation. Popular processes include integrating HubSpot and Salesforce.com for lead management, and monitoring social networks to integrate with CRM systems.

For example, with Azuqua, a social marketer can automatically route negative sentiment tweets to a support team for proactive customer service with a single process. Available for download at http://azuquasales.azu.qa/highlyresponsivesocialcustomersupport, this process identifies negative tweets, creates a case in Salesforce.com, notifies the customer service manager via email, and automatically sends a tweet to the unhappy customer with a support ticket number.

'The enterprise software and services market is benefiting from tremendous innovation as businesses worldwide embark on a comprehensive re-architecture of their applications and infrastructure,' said John Connors, managing partner at Ignition Venture Partners, who is joining Azuqua's board. 'Azuqua is addressing a critical business need with a user-friendly and market-driven solution which will help accelerate this fundamental shift in enterprise computing.'

The market for cloud services is forecast by Gartner to be $260 billion in 2016. As companies increasingly adopt single-purpose SaaS services, businesses are challenged to develop processes that span multiple cloud services. Building these processes can require weeks of work from developers and cost many thousands of dollars. With Azuqua, a savvy user can quickly and cost effectively integrate these services to form valuable business processes with drag and drop ease.
