Resy Chows on $2M in Seed Funding

2014-08-01
NEW YORK, NY, Restaurant reservation service Resy has secured $2 million in seed funding.
Restaurant reservation service Resy has secured $2 million in seed funding led by Vayner/RSE and Lerer Ventures, with participation from Toms Capital, Panarea Capital, A-Grade Holdings, Slow Ventures, Ken Austin, and a few others.

Resy, a mobile restaurant reservations app in beta on iOS and Android. The app is for people who love eating at great restaurants but hate hassling for reservations. The idea that you have to plan way in advance or jump through hurdles to eat at the city's best restaurants is absurd. Even if you do get a table, chances are the experience of getting from 'Where should we eat?' to your seat could have been better. We want to change that. On Resy, there is no '6:30 or 10² treatment.' If you want to have dinner at 8, then you should have dinner at 8.
