SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Software company focused on creating the future of virtual supply chain management, announced today that it has raised $4.3 million in venture funding.
DropShip Commerce, a software company focused on creating the future of virtual supply chain management, announced today that it has raised $4.3 million in venture funding. The founders committed $2.8 million and Kickstart Seed Fund led the additional $1.5 million with participation by Peterson Ventures, David Cohen of startup accelerator TechStars, and other angel investors. The new financing will support the company as it continues to scale operations to meet the growing demand from retailers and manufacturers.

"We are really excited to add solid capital partners to our equation as we work to meet the demand from retailers and manufacturers for an integrated and virtual supply chain platform," said Jeremy Hanks, CEO of DropShip Commerce.

Headquartered in the Salt Lake City area, DropShip Commerce is Software as a Service (SaaS) company solving the widening gap between supply chain innovation and the rapid acceleration of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) innovation. Its enterprise platform enables more productive and dynamic trading relationships between retailers and manufacturers by streamlining systems integration, product collaboration, and order management.

"We believe the experienced DropShip Commerce team is uniquely positioned to capitalize on a significant opportunity," said Clarke Miyasaki, Kickstart Managing Director, who also joined the company's board of directors. "We're excited to invest in a true innovator in its space that's solving a growing problem in ecommerce."

As ecommerce complexities continue to evolve, the need for smart leaders in the retail industry to stay ahead of the challenges becomes crucial to every player. The nearly five million dollars of investment validates DropShip Commerce as an early innovator in its field.

"I'm excited to see DropShip Commerce succeed as it propels a new age of supply chain management within the retail industry," said David Cohen, founder and CEO of TechStars.

Hanks and his team together have 60 years experience in ecommerce and supply chain software. The founding members of the company worked together at Doba, a dropship wholesalers' resource, where they integrated 500 vendors and 10 million unique products.
