ROAR Organic, the 100% natural line of vegan, low-calorie, low-sugar, electrolyte-infused beverages, announces its first institutional investment today, via a $5.6 million round of funding led by AccelFoods. Reinventing hydration routines and the perception of functional beverages for a more health-and-wellness-minded consumer has resulted in 300% growth for the company in 2018. Together, ROAR and AccelFoods aim to expand ROAR's team, increase brand awareness and boost distribution.

Founded in 2016, ROAR Organic is the brainchild of CEO and Founder Roly Nesi who developed the infusions to fill the white space between the needs of clean-eating millennials and those seeking the electrolyte-enhanced hydration typically only seen in sugary sports drinks. Free of artificial sweeteners or preservatives, ROAR is packed with electrolytes and essential vitamins that come from its proprietary coconut water base. ROAR is currently available in six flavors: Strawberry Coconut, Pineapple Mint, Georgia Peach, Cucumber Watermelon, Mango Clementine and Blueberry Acai.

"As we continue to grow and disrupt the beverage space, we are excited to receive this round of funding that supports the resources necessary to maintain our focus on product quality and our strong commitment to consumers who won't settle for anything less than the best," stated Nesi. "We are thrilled to have found a partner in AccelFoods that truly aligns itself with companies that take on totally new categories in the food and beverage space, and we look forward to strengthening our foothold with this round of funding."

"AccelFoods is proud to be a female-founded and -led fund in consumer packaged goods, and ROAR appeals to us as both dedicated investors and loyal consumers," said Jordan Gaspar, Managing Partner of AccelFoods. "When we look at companies, we look for ones that are paving new paths and re-imagining categories in the food and beverage space - and ROAR is doing just that with its clean label and attractive branding. Working with Roly to expand the ROAR line and continue to make a splash in the functional beverage space aligns perfectly with our strategy at AccelFoods."

The funding will enable ROAR to continue along its path of becoming a household name in the beverage space by expanding its team and bolstering product development. ROAR infusions are currently available in 3,000 doors across the U.S., including Safeway, Kroger, CVS and Rite Aid, with additional retail growth planned through 2019.
