PALO ALTO, CA, Patreon announced it has raised a $60 million Series C round of funding.
According to Variety, Patreon announced it has raised a $60 million Series C round of funding. The new, over-subscribed round of financing is once again being led by existing backer Thrive Capital, with existing investors Index Fund, Charles River Ventures and Freestyle Capital participating as well. The company was also able to add a new backer with DJV Venture Capital.

Patreon connects creators with their biggest fans and enables those fans to become paying members, or patrons, of their favorite creators. Co-founded in 2013 by YouTube star Jack Conte of the band Pomplamoose, we believe that every creator in today's digital economy should get paid.
